Bill lives in Nidderdale. He spent most of his working life in engineering manufacturing, latterly as a Chief Executive and main board director of a publicly quoted engineering company.

Polly was elected to Craven District Council in 2001 and her term of office expires in 2011.

Jason was born in Knaresborough, and spent part of his schooling in Harrogate. After being granted a Queen's Commission, at Sandhurst, Jason spent 27years in the British Army.

A successful General and Facilities Manager with extensive in-depth experience gained in the public and private sector of delivering hard and soft facilities in health, commercial. industrial and retail services, where he has held senior management and director positions.

Councillor Ireton was elected to Craven District Council in 1998 and his term of office expires in 2012.

Janet joined Scarborough Council in 1999 as an Independent Councillor of Castle Ward, and is in her third term as a Borough Councillor. She was Borough Deputy Mayor for the period 2004/05 and Mayor of the Borough of Scarborough for the period 2007/08.

Jane has been the Chairman of North Yorkshire Police Authority since June 2001, and currently also chairs the Police Authority's Management Board.

A graduate of business school in Leeds and the Scottish Hotel School, Carl runs the family business of The Lodge at Leeming Bar.

Keith lives in Huntington, York with his wife Judith. He is a retired Teacher and spent nearly all his career working with children with special educational needs.

Ruth has lived in York since 1961. She has two daughters and 2 grandsons. She has been a member of City of York Council since 1999 when she was elected to represent the Beckfield Ward of the City.

Rajinder is a qualified Solicitor specialising in Civil Litigation including matrimonial work. She has lived in North Yorkshire since 1989.

Craig's career began in local government following which he established a management consultancy practice, supporting clients in a wide range of business sectors, in the UK, Europe and the United States.

Erica was born in Hampshire, but York has been her adopted home for over 18 years. With a degree in mathematical physics, she has spent over thirty years teaching in schools, moving from classroom teacher to roles in middle management, ending as a Head.

Ian grew up in Leeds and started his Civil Service career there in the early seventies. Some 34 years later he retired early after working in local and headquarters offices throughout England and Scotland ending up back in Leeds and living in Harrogate.
